Acceptable Use Policy
MailEnv is for permission-based email and for communicating with your existing customers and subscribers. These rules protect your deliverability and everyone else's.
1) Who can send
Every customer must pass manual verification before sending. This includes submitting basic identity or business details and describing what you intend to send. Access may be delayed by 24 to 48 hours if the review raises questions. We may ask for more information, and we may approve or decline accounts at our discretion.
2) Permission is required
- Send marketing email only to people who have clearly agreed to receive it from you.
- Send transactional email only to people who have an existing relationship with you, such as account, order, or security messages.
- Be ready to provide proof of consent or of a legitimate relationship if we ask.
3) Lists you may not use
- Purchased, rented, traded, or shared lists
- Scraped or harvested addresses
- Third-party or affiliate lists, or lists from "co-registration"
- Lists that haven't been mailed in a long time and haven't been re-verified
4) Prohibited content and activity
- Unsolicited bulk email or cold outreach at scale
- Phishing, spoofing, malware, or deceptive headers and subject lines
- Illegal products or services, or content that breaks applicable law
- Harassment, hate speech, or threats
- Attempts to get around suppression, rate limits, verification, or other safeguards
5) Sending requirements
- Use accurate sender information and a domain you control.
- Include a working unsubscribe mechanism in marketing email, and honor requests promptly.
- Follow applicable laws, including CAN-SPAM, CASL, and GDPR where they apply.
- Follow the Amazon SES acceptable use policy and the requirements of major mailbox providers.
6) Monitoring and enforcement
We monitor bounce rates, complaint rates, and other signals that indicate abuse or poor list quality. We may throttle, pause, suspend, or terminate sending without notice when we see abuse, policy violations, or activity that puts the platform's deliverability at risk.
